Sydney Funeral Musicians

“Hi Natalie, I have been a part of that church for decades and I’ve never heard the sound of a violin in the church for a funeral before until today. It felt like the church had opened up pathway to heaven for my Mum as we arrived to prepare her for her journey. When the service opened up with Hear I am Lord, my father broke down straight away. I never told my family which songs I had chosen. This song I chose was their most favourite hymn since the came to Australia. It gave them hope during rough times in the early years because our family church played that song a lot when we grew up in Brisbane in the early 80s. Dad and my older sister who remembered those days said it was the best version of the song hey have ever heard. Each of the other songs created an emotion that gave them joy in their grief. The choir and the musicians made it a true celebration of my Mum’s life not just a mass service. Ave Maria and especially You Raise me up was performed so beautifully and when I decided to go all out the choir and seeing them perform, it reflected my life with my mum that I have no regrets. All my brother and sisters also said they have no regrets later in the day and I am sure listening to You Raise me up sing the way they did reminded them of that. The music of funeral brought back very old memories that made us feel like young children again celebrating mass on Sundays. The work between your choir and the bagpiper was described as “opening the gates to heaven” by my family. When the bagpiper sounded and later the choir sang the verses, “it was like the angels singing at the gates of heaven.” Please pass on to your team and thank them for creating a sense of joy and celebration of my mum’s life deep in our hearts that their voices touched. I apologies I wasn’t able to stick around to thank them personally as my mind was loaded with the next part of the day, rushing to be at our house a block a way to have Mum drop by before going to her final resting place. Thank you so much Natalie helping making it all possible and especially being able to track down the Responsorial Psalm.Take Care and God Bless”
